Overview
Join us in celebrating the unveiling of Chisel & Razor: Act II, The Artistic Legacies of Edmonia and Samuel Lewis, which will inaugurate Tinworks’ newly restored Mill Building on the Ida campus and enable us to provide year-round programming!
This celebration will feature performances by artists-in-residence 406Cirque, as well as harpist Hannah Belle Terrell. Pizza will be available for purchase by Radio Napoli Pizza Bar, with drinks available by donation.
Event Details
3pm – Site opens and event begins
Performances by 406Cirque and Hannah Belle Terrell continue throughout the event. Chisel & Razor, Act I will be on view in Tinworks’ seasonal exhibition space along with the work of Athena LaTocha in the gallery next to our Family & Community Space. Radio Napoli Pizza Bar will be serving freshly-baked pizzas to order with a special menu for the event.
406Cirque will be presenting their original performance, Algorithm, directed by Paúl Gomex. The event will lead attendees from Tinworks’ warehouse to the Mill Building to kick off its opening.
3:30–6pm – Mill building opens
Following remarks, Chisel & Razor, Act II will be open to the public, presenting works by Sanford Biggers, Andrea Carlson, and Auriea Harvey.
