The Rialto has long been a place where people gather. From its early life as a peanut stand and post office to its transformation into a theater in 1924, it has played many roles in downtown Bozeman’s story. Over the years, it hosted everything from silent films to indie screenings and live performances, adapting to the changing rhythms of the city. After closing in 2005, the building sat quiet for more than a decade before reopening in 2018, carefully restored and once again ready to welcome people back in.
Today, in partnership with Tinworks Art, the Rialto is entering a new chapter. It’s being shaped as a year-round cultural space—one that supports exhibitions, artist talks, residencies, performances, and community gatherings. The space is also available for mission-aligned events and rentals, offering a welcoming, flexible setting in the heart of downtown Bozeman. As always, the Rialto remains a place where creativity, conversation, and community come together.
