Mythical Creature Clay Cups with Lauren Woods

Overview

Be inspired by creatures from myths and stories or create your own! Participants will learn how to create pinch pot cups of clay and form them into usable cups. Using clay tools and techniques pattern and texture can be applied and finished cups will be painted with glaze.

Guardians and parents are welcome to join their student(s) to complete an artwork or choose to have registered participants work independently.

About Family Workshops

Tinworks is thrilled to continue offering free children’s workshops featuring themes from the 2025 A Kin To Clay exhibition. These guided workshops are led by local art educators and professionals on a variety of techniques and mediums. Ages 7-17 welcome to all workshops. Guardians and parents are welcome to join their student to complete an artwork or choose to have their registered participants work independently. Family workshops will take place in the Family & Community Space. About the Instructor

Lauren Woods is an artist, ceramicist, seasoned educator, and business owner. Her studio and shop can be found in downtown Bozeman. Woods' work is inspired by nature, astrology, mental health, and humor and loves working with clay. She believes in chasing big dreams and doing what you love.
