Improv and the Body: Using Viewpoints to Ground Play | Tinworks

Overview

In this workshop, we will be working with choreographer, dancer, and author Mary Overlie's Viewpoints to ground ourselves in body and movement. This can help us to free ourselves from overthinking and lean into the playfulness of improv. Work through scenes physically and using spontaneity. No prior movement experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. Ages 12+ welcome.

Jakob Schultz

Jakob has been exploring improvisation for almost 10 years. He fell in love with Viewpoints early on in his improv career and loves to explore groundedness and acting within the comedy. He continues to learn more about viewpoints and acting as he pushes himself in different directions artistically.
