Give Big is next week, and we are grateful for the generosity our community is already demonstrating in preparation for this day of giving.

Thanks to several gracious donors, each gift to Tinworks Art up to $10,000 during Give Big will be matched 2:1. APRIL 11, 2024: Wheatfield—An Inspiration featured in Edible Bozeman

Edible Bozeman published their spring issue this week with a feature on Tinworks Art, “Seed In The Ground. An Outdoor Art Installation Sparks Conversation with Wheat.”

The article celebrates the ecological artwork Wheatfield—An Inspiration. The seed is in the ground, by Agnes Denes, now growing in Tinwork's field on the corner of Cottonwood and Ida in Bozeman's northeast neighborhood.

MARCH 8, 2024: Tinworks Art Camp for Kids

Tinworks welcomes young artists to explore the world of art this summer with our art camp for kids.

Art is an integral part of building a healthy and creative community, and we are excited to contribute to the expanding artistic horizons of Bozeman.

From June through August, we will offer week-long morning camps for 1st through 8th graders. Campers will partake in art-making sessions with professional art educators, learn from our 2024 exhibition, and showcase their art.

January 30, 2024: Agnes Denes At TINWORKS ART

For our 2024 exhibition season, Tinworks is proud to present a significant new work by artist Agnes Denes, Wheatfield—An Inspiration. The seed is in the ground, which can be found at the Tinworks field, 719 N Ida and Cottonwood Ave, in the NE neighborhood in Bozeman. 

Denes is a groundbreaking, internationally recognized figure, lauded as one of the first ecological artists. One of her most celebrated works, Wheatfield—A Confrontation, was planted in New York City in 1982. READ MORE >>

December 28, 2023: THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING 2023!

As the year ends, we are filled with gratitude for you, our community who makes Tinworks possible.

Nearly 5000 visitors experienced Invisible Prairie this past summer and fall to celebrate and support our exhibiting artists. We partnered with more than thirty local organizations, schools, and artist groups to activate the indoor and outdoor spaces across the Tinworks campus. Our visitors, volunteers, and donors showed up time and time again for fantastic performances, community gatherings, and exhibition tours.

October 25, 2023: Thank you for a wonderful season at Tinworks Art

The Tinworks Art 2023 season came to a close Saturday October 14 with Aŋpéoyokpaze — a graphic score by Kite, rooted in Lakota geometry and star knowledge, aligned with the partial solar eclipse, and performed by an ensemble of local musicians.

The gathering embodied Tinworks' commitment to fostering connections with artists and meaningful experiences through art.

October 18, 2023: It's a rock party this Thursday, 10AM-6PM at Tinworks ART

After last Saturday's solar eclipse performance by Kite and the closing celebration of the Invisible Prairie exhibition, we invite you to return back to the field at Tinworks Art to help lay the groundwork for next year's land-based art projects — before the snow flies. 

We will be hosting a Rock Party from 10AM–6PM on the corner of Cottonwood and N Ida during which, with the help of volunteers like you, we will remove rocks from the field.

October 12, 2023: CLOSING DAY and Kite's solar eclipse performance

Our current exhibition Invisible Prairie, closes this Saturday October 14 with some very special events. 

Tinworks artist Kite will be performing a musical score to coincide with the partial solar eclipse occurring on the morning of the 14th. The Invisible Prairie exhibition will be open early for this event, so arrive any time after 9AM on Saturday to watch the performance. The eclipse will reach its maximum at 10:28AM.

OCtober 4, 2023: Join us at tinworks this weekend

There are two weeks left to view our current exhibition Invisible Prairie, which is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-6pm and Sundays 10am-2pm.

If you can't visit on those days, please contact us and we would be happy to arrange a special tour of the exhibition.

JULY 26, 2023: Tinworks is closed this week; submit your art!

While our site at 719 N Ida will be closed July 28-30, our summer exhibition Invisible Prairie will have a presence at the Bozeman Public Library this week with a special presentation in the children's section. Tinworks will also be leading drop-in art activities during free lunch hour at the library tomorrow (Thursday) from noon to 1:30PM on the front plaza.

ApRIL 15, 2022 : LAUNCHING a DIRECTOR SEARCH

The Tinworks Art Board of Trustees has commenced a national search for the Director of Tinworks Art. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of Tinworks Art’s strategy and operations. The international executive search firm, Russell Reynolds Associates, has been retained to assist in this exciting project.
